Description
Depicting one of Australia’s most beloved marsupials, the Australian Koala silver coins pay tribute to the country's rich wildlife.
Struck from 99.99% pure silver, the 2025 Koala is available in one-kilogram and one-ounce sizes. Each coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The coin portrays an adorable koala lying on a tree branch amongst eucalyptus foliage. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, along with the coin’s weight, purity and 2025 year-date.
