Description
The Perth Mint is pleased to present the Australian Kangaroo 2023 one-ounce Silver Bullion Coin. The Australian kangaroo is a large marsupial endemic to Australia. Identified by its muscular tail, strong back legs, large feet, short fur, and long, pointed ears, the animal has become a much-loved national icon.
Struck by The Perth Mint from one-ounce of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued in legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 with an unlimited mintage. The coin's classic design portrays a bounding kangaroo surrounded by stylized rays of sunlight. The design incorporates the inscription 'AUSTRALIAN KANAGROO', The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark, the 2023 year-date and the coin's weight and purity.
The coin's obverse bears the official 'Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse', featuring the Jody Clark effigy Supplemented with dates of Her Majesty's reign - '1952 - 2022'.
